Heading for Shiskine

Turnberry
Came across this great photograph of Turnberry while planning my next leg

From Port Ellen up to Port Askaig in Islay and then back on the boat to Tarbert.
From Tarbert a wee bit down the road to Claonaig and then another boat to
Lochranza at the top of the Isle of Arran
Here's a map of the island.

Sure it sounds like a full on kind of day but it can be done in a day and you can still get in a round of golf.
If you time it right, in mid summer, you'll still be able to see the wee white ba' quite clearly after 10pm

About what about Shiskine?

Well according to Mark Rowlinson

Shiskine achieved remarkable fame a few years ago when it popped into Golf World's British Isles Top 100. It dropped out next time round. Distinctive rather than distinguished would be my description. Some very photogenic holes.

And here's a link to where you can purchase one of these genuine handknitted Aran sweaters
